New Year = New You!

by Justine Crowley

How are your new years resolutions going? If you are still fulfilling them, congratulations! However, if your new years resolutions in 2012 aren’t going according to plan, then there is a little bit of work to do and you aren’t alone. Don’t worry, it is never too late!

Many people find themselves in this continuous spiral on autopilot when it comes to achieving their new years resolutions. How many years have you wanted to quit smoking? To lose some weight? To get into some consistent exercise? To give up that excess drinking and or sugar consumption?

Your subconscious mind is training you to keep these habits consistently on autopilot unless you turn off that switch and take control of your life.  As they fall on top of your new years resolution list, you are aware that major changes are required in your life; yet the level of your mind that controls these habits and behavioural patterns is not aware that such habits mentioned above aren’t good for you. That level of the mind simply responds to how it has been programmed over the years.

This is where you need to consistently adopt a new way of living for at least 30 days straight for your subconscious to adapt to your new way of living. It’s all about creating new, positive habits, so you’re body is on autopilot in the health and fitness department! For example, instead of drinking that extra champagne, drink a glass of water instead. In fact, why not just drink healthy, filtered water in this instance for 30 days straight and you will begin to immediately see the difference in how you look and feel about yourself, and so will others. Your self-image will rise with your new way of life, and therefore more abundance is likely to be attracted to you.

So give yourself the challenge of transforming you for the best version of you. Take a short 30 days to commit to these healthy habits and guaranteed after those 30 days, you will find yourself craving apples instead of candy, water instead of soda, and a fit body and great sleep rather than a frumpy fatigued self. So, what are you waiting for?
