Check out the daggy pink person... lol... that's me! I must work on my co-ordination. Everyone else looks so much fitter! But I am within the healthy weight range now, so no worries... You don't have to be a fitness buff to be healthy and keen.

There are no announcements yet.
There is a mental/psychological aspect to weight loss. Being overweight or obese has appeared to have a benefit or a reason for being up until now. It's helpful for you to know how, where, and when you put on the weight. Your body and mind know exactly what your values are, and your body is a manifestation of where your thoughts have taken you. So, get a notepad and pen, and begin to draw out and realise that you may have stored for a reason... Some examples are an abusive past, such as traumatic experiences. This occurs because of an imbalanced perspective on the situation. If you balance out your thinking until it is neutral rather than carrying the threat around with you all the time... The fear and anger go away, and you become open to results as you are now free to train more effectively, you begin to eat correctly, listen more effectively, and you move about more, as your energy goes up when you are free! If you are moving about more, you will automatically require more water, and water cleanses the body and clears the mind for calmness and clarity of thought. Another example of mind-body effect are the abuses of starvation and dehydration. Find out more information... Most people are walking around either starving themselves of vital nutrients, or dehydrating because they have very little water in their bodies. When you overcome the thought "oh that's too much", or "I couldn't do that"... You open a whole new world of possibility.

I know people who have shed kilos and are only experiencing minimal skin sag, for example their skin is "just a little looser than usual, but not too much". These people tell me they began weight training when they started losing weight, and right through all of their training. Resistance training is very important to create the body shape you love. The benefits to this are that you strengthen or maintain the bones, build up muscle (which burn more energy, hence fat), and you see results in your shape over the time you train. The great thing is, you can go to training of any kind, but you can also develop a resistance routine yourself. It really does depend on you.

There are also trainers all around, and you can choose to attend a gym, or an outdoor setting, and you can have one-on-one or go to classes. The trick is what works for you.
